🚀 GBA Entrepreneurship Learning Trip: A 2D1N Journey of 30+ Aspiring Minds

We recently concluded our GBA Learning Trip this April, leading a diverse cohort of 30+ students on an immersive 2-day journey from Hong Kong to Guangzhou, Dongguan, and Shenzhen.

Beyond typical site visits, this trip was a deep dive into the region's innovation ecosystem. The high-energy discussions on product commercialization and cross-disciplinary peer learning were truly where the most valuable entrepreneurial sparks were ignited.

📍 Trip Highlights:
🔹 Guangzhou | Tech Transfer & Commercialization
After exploring academic innovation at the HKUST (Guangzhou) campus, we engaged in in-depth dialogues at Yuexiu iPARK Guangdong-Hong Kong Intelligent Valley (越秀iPARK粵港智谷).

A heartfelt thank you to Mr. XU Xiaoji (Founder of KingJune Robotics & HKUST AIS Master’s student) and representatives from 碳境科技, 凱佳光學, and 智科自動化 for sharing practical insights on transitioning from lab research to market reality.

🔹 Dongguan | Hard-Tech Incubation Hub
Our visit to XbotPark Robotics Base in Songshan Lake offered profound insights into the future of smart hardware and the "Base + Fund" incubation model. Students witnessed firsthand how this ecosystem bridges the gap between research and mass production, leveraging the GBA's robust supply chain to accelerate R&D for successful startups like Narwal and EcoFlow.

🔹 Dongguan & Shenzhen | World-Class Supply Chain
At VTech Holdings Limited (HKSE: 0303), our cohort conducted a comprehensive study of high-scale automated production at their Dongguan manufacturing plant, followed by an exploration of R&D and global market strategies at the VTech Shenzhen Building. This dual-city visit perfectly illustrated the powerful "R&D + Manufacturing" synergy driving global tech leaders.

This journey demonstrated that successful entrepreneurship requires seamless coordination across cities, industries, and supply chains. We look forward to seeing the connections and insights gained during this trip fuel the future ventures of our student founders!
